Coronary artery bypass, valve operations, pacemaker implantation, angioplasty and stenting with the cardiologists. The first open-heart operation in the Zone was carried out by Dr Tokonov's team in 2011; before that, patients went to Almaty or Turkey. About 300 open-heart operations are done each year. Admission only by referral of a cardiologist after consultation (Thursdays, see Doctors' reception).
