Cardiovascular Institute opened
The new building D, the Cardiovascular Institute, has opened with two catheterization laboratories, cardiac intensive care and the operating theatres of the Department of Cardiac Surgery. Angioplasty and the implantation of pacemakers are now done in Talas; bypass surgery moves from the Surgical Building into the new theatres.
